Daytime Meetings take place from 9:30am to 2:00pm on the third Monday of months September thru April with the educational program starting at 10:00am. Meetings are at St Anne’s Church, 147 Concord Road in Lincoln.
A member who has a kit or supplies to do a monthly scheduled class can still participate in the class if you so desire but we ask that you still fill out the coupon and send to the respective program chair.
Also, members who cannot participate in a class but wish to get the kit/supplies will need to make their own arrangements for obtaining the kit. And if you already have the supplies necessary, but missed the ordering deadline, please do join us, but let the program chair know you will be in the class.

A Celebration Year
Nancy Kirwin, Historian
We welcome our members back with stitching and camaraderie. Please bring your heirloom pieces to show your progress. If you have had your Friendship Sampler framed, Show ’n Tell is waiting for you. For a lively discussion, let’s share what we bring with us in our many tote bags.
On October 21, we welcome Kelly Starke. Finishing a 3” round ornament will be taught. The workshop is limited to 12 participants, and I am happy to say the workshop has filled. If you are still interested please let me know. I have started a wait-list. I will be sending a reminder email to those taking the workshop.
In November our own Jane Melick will lead us in the creation of a holiday ornament. Jane is the designer of our chapter’s logo - the lantern and 13 stars. Jane will discuss different ways to finish your ornament. This finishing will be accomplished in January 2025. Please complete the registration form found Here. We will need to know how many kits to prepare.
We will ring in the new year on January 20th with Jane teaching us a unique and different finishing technique for the ornament we stitched in November. Please bring in your finished stitched ornament and whatever else you may need to bring home a beautiful piece to hang in your stitching corner.
On April 28, (date adjusted because of the Boston Marathon), Sue Reed will be our Master Teacher for the piece she has designed “By The Wayside” for our celebration year. More information on this beautiful piece is shown below.
Our celebratory year will end with our Annual Spring Luncheon on Monday, May 19, 2025 at The Wayside Inn in Sudbury, MA. We hope everyone will be able to attend.

The beautiful and fun to stitch Chilly Hollow motif frames a center filled with large bead clusters. The outer area pattern, stitched using two needles, is comprised of a combination of plaited and regular ray stitches filled with either small bead clusters or 2 x 3 upright crosses. The middle area of shading is worked in 4 x 4 crosses, eyelets, and beading. The gold on eggshell metallic canvas and the accent Petite Silk Lamé add an additional dimension of sparkle to By the Wayside.
